year in review… week 1

This may seem a little premature, but I cannot keep a handle on what I do in a month, let alone a full year. So, welcome to Tish’s Weekly Update. I can promise you there will never be anything earth-shattering here, but at least those rare relatives who bother reading will know my whereabouts and if I am still among the living. Which reminds me, have you read “Tex and Molly in the Afterlife” by Richard Grant, who may or may not have even been alive or written said book, which may no longer be in existence, but that is another story for another day. Ping me if you’re interested, and if you can find a copy of this book, read it before it disappears from your nightstand into the oblivion. Trust me, you’ll love it !

So, what have I been up to this week ? The theme was trying to stay warm, but be out of doors as much as possible. With February creeping up quickly, we will be a tundra-like wasteland soon, and I want to enjoy the sunshine while I can. That being said, there have been days that the temps were so cold, I made it back to the car with my pants literally frozen to my thighs.

PLACES

Berkshires, Boston, Newport, Hartford, Worcester

PEOPLE

Henry, The Bear, The Boy (yeah, been a while since you saw that moniker), Shadow Shepard, Rachel

PLAY

Climbing, cliff-side… amazing but WINDY and cold, Hiking… near dam, waterfalls, in forests and all over Boston, Swimming… at a hotel in the Berkshires, Riding… on the back of a Harley, cloaked head to toe in leather, Designing… a tribal tat for my thigh, to be gotten as soon as I lose those last 17 damnable pounds, Eating… lobster risotto and lemon curd cake, Dancing… in a small country place, in painted on jeans and borrowed cowboy hat.

TUNES

Jason Aldean, Randy Houser, Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, Vivaldi, Chopin

MISSING

The hot summer sun, The Soldier, my small waist, The Soldier, Texas, The Soldier…

And that’s about it for the year thus far. Started out with a BANG, and will surely slow down as the weather gets worse. Am having fun, working out regularly, eating red grapefruit like it is going outta style and listening to 8 SiriusXM stations worth of country music… driving the boys in my life crazy with the repetitive nature of said tunes. =)

I hope this new year is going well for you all, and you are having a chance to do things your way. As Punky reminded us yesterday, life is too short to hold back. Have a lovely, peeps… !
