morning madness…

I woke up this morning with dreams of rain in my head… the rustling of the leaves outside my bedroom window ALMOST allowed me to keep the illusion going for a few more minutes, but alas… it was not to be. When I yanked up the blinds, sun streamed in with such force I had to turn away. Yes, summer is here. With a vengeance, apparently.

This morning was busy, as the entire day promises to be…

A trip to the airport, 2 bathrooms scrubbed, 2 loads of laundry drying, one basement vacuumed, 2 porched swept and cleaned. 4 throw rugs beaten and sprayed, 1 cup of coffee slung back, 2 emails answered and a post in the making. I have an online live class at 10 am, an online test for a different class at noon, a dentist appt at 1:30 and a webinar at 4 pm, of which I am teaching a session. I sorted my notes 2 nights ago at around 1 am, and now only have to clean up the pages. Luckily, there are 6 of us, and I will have more than enough time to get my ducks out of my ass and in a neat row.

After dinner, which will probably consist of a can of tuna eaten over the sink, I will clear off the table and spread out to complete a week’s worth of work for one of my classes. Week 2 started today, and I have not even begun week one yet. I am usually WAY more organized with my days, but having company and a new routine with my foxling has thrown me off my game. By Monday, I expect everything will be back to ops norm. I am hoping to fit in a trip to the lake with friends next week, and have to make time for coffee with the Happydrunk. The constant laughter I get from his company is totally worth the gas money. =)

I cut back my philodendron yesterday, as it was so root-bound it was about to crack the pot. It was 8 feet long, and now is about 10 inches, and has fresh, new soil and a tiny root ball from which to grow. Seems happier, and I think doing it before the move and change of climate will end up doing it a world of good. I am trying to figure out how to get the patio set into the car and over to The Professor’s house in one trip, along with the end table, wall art and sorted games and another bookshelf… methinks several trips will happen. We are great at cramming the MPV full, but this will exceed even our bountiful talents. =)

Time to go, NEED more caffeine to accomplish all my goals today… better eat something as well. Stay busy, enjoy the sun and have a lovely… !

My Scion has moved us twice, with the exception of the beds and the dining room table. It becomes a Tetris challenge just to cut down on trips.
