sanity savers…

Thanks to some PM support from some friends, I now realize the error of my ways with the previous post. I may have been justified in the rant, but that is not showcasing my personal growth in the best possible light, now is it ? Of course, how many of you would read if I simpered on about how perfect it all is, all day long ?! =) Sometimes real is ugly, and if you don’t like it, or you don’t want it, just skip the post.

It was brought to my attention by a wonderful fellow poster that no matter how sucktastic things might be at any given moment, there are always things that are happy-making as well. If not exactly happy-making, I was able to find some things that are sanity saving, which means that there are no dead bodies in my basement, which means I escape incarceration for another day. *

Without further ado…

1. Kombucha… enough of these all day and not only do I not need to eat much, but I have energy to clean. Cleaning is good when I am livid. You should see my shower…

2. Coffee… fully leaded all the way today, please.  A bit twitchy, but really focused and got a lot of work done between running around.

3. My foxling… she is sitting out here with us on the patio right now, making conversation so I don’t have to. She is creating a magazine of fashion and is busily and happily coloring, cutting and arranging to her hearts delight. Makes me smile to watch her, and she drew a stocking just for me. =) That’s love, folks.

4. Fellow bloggers… you all understand that shit rarely happens on a day you would choose, and are always there with a friendly word. Thanks, guys ! =)

5. 70’s instead of the forecasted 80’s… doesn’t sound like much of a difference, but when you live in a three-story walk-up, and the bedrooms are on the 3rd floor, every degree cooler means less AC to run. The breeze feels nice, and it almost makes me calm. Well, not really, but further from the rage than before. Motto for the day… HULK SMASH ! =)

6. Sookie Stackhouse novels… really crappy fiction, a total vice right now. Laughing my ass off the whole time I am reading makes me appreciate the author, and while she will never win an award for her intuitive and discerning writing, this does me just fine right now. Plenty of time for brainy books later on.

Gotta run, going to drop off mom at church and entertain my foxling for an hour. Movie later on with popcorn and an early night are in my future…

* this post is in no way intended to make light of our darling friend, or her despicable situation. Know I love and support her, and would never poke fun at someone who is hurting. Thanks, lovelies !

Refocusing and reframing=awesome. I am glad you are doing a little better.

Our friend would likely laugh at jailbird jokes, as long as they were silly, so no worries about that being taken the wrong way.

    ((hugs)) again! 😀

    So glad I didn’t go too far… =) =)

Enjoy an awesome night, I am going up early with yet another trashy vampire novel… hey, it is better than drugs, so don’t judge TOO harshly ! =) =)

Love to you and the Kid… =)
