another pointless post…

Feeling VERY unmotivated to write this morning, as is evidenced by the late hour in which I am finally typing.  We took our foxing to a UConn Women Huskies basketball game last night, and she had the time of her life ! The three of them painted their faces with paw prints and put on school shirts… the stadium was not as packed as I had anticipated, but full enough to be loud and happily rowdy. Our team beat their opponents soundly, to the tune of over 100 points to less than 50. It was a good game, full of action and let me tell you, those girls are fast ! My foxing cheered, laughed, yelled, danced and clapped herself silly, and as we hiked back to the car, they played in the snow and pelted one another repeatedly. It was such a nice time, really fun and I hope we can do it again, when I have gotten more sleep and did not have a migraine the day before. In my infinite wisdom, I brought my iPad to take some snaps, but left it in the car. =) Your imagination will have to suffice at this point.

We are covered with fresh snow this morning, making our world look like a snow-globe. We are expecting up to 8 more inches with additional ice, so I am glad we were able to go to the ball game last night. Looks like we will be housebound for a day or two. Luckily, we have lessons, online classes and cooking shows to keep us entertained. =) Much drawing and dancing will happen as well, I can assure you.

I have been in my winter funk over not wanting to cook or eat anything that cannot be blended into a smoothie. While spinach, apple, ginger and parsley are yummy, one cannot life on 200 calories a day. My foxing is so easy to live with, she will eat most anything, does not ask for much and never complains. However, I think a hot meal is on order tonight. My usual repertoire of soups does not interest either of us today, but I have some squash in the freezer and that is always a good start. Hell, I haven’t even eaten breakfast yet, and have no desire to do so. =) When I get sleepy, I only want coffee, music and books. Does not sound like a bad way to spend the rest of the day…

Have a wonderful day in your neck of the woods… be safe, enjoy whatever pleasure life is throwing at you this morning. =)
