australian, not greek…

I picked up my case of yogurt from Nature’s Grocers yesterday. I had specified on three separate occasions that I need the Greek style, not Australian. The difference being that with the Greek, for an extra 10 calories, you get 12 more grams of protein. That makes the cost per serving cheaper, as well, since when I have a cup in the morning, I do not eat anything else for 4 hours. So… you guessed it, when she brought the case from the back, it was indeed the Australian style. I could have throw a fit, or simple been nice and had them re-order the correct items. But since I am down to one container in the fridge, and Whole Foods is a half an hour away, and we are busy moving this weekend, I simply paid for it and am eating it this morning. Admittedly, I love the silky texture and slight lemon flavor, but will be hungry sooner and like to stick to what is working on this roller-coaster ride of dieting I am stuck on until I am at my optimal weight.

I have the entertainment center all emptied, and the dvd’s and games stored in a bin for him. The rug is rolled out of the way, bookshelves are empty as is the dresser. The bed linens are folded and in my foxling’s bedroom until my new bed comes tomorrow. It took hours last night to get all this accomplished. The Historian was at her dad’s new house last night, so I was able to get to everything in my own time. I ate an early dinner, turned on a movie and got down to the business at hand. It was nice to get things done, be focused on what I was doing and work as long as I wanted to without interruption. I did not make it down to the weight room, but think with all the moving I did, perhaps I burned extra calories, nonetheless.

I am going to brew my decaf early this morning, meditating first for a bit, centering myself for the long few days ahead. I hope you all have a productive day… I know I will here in the den.
