Ooh, I just LOVE these type of days! The slow rolling fog threatens to engulf us as we walk, and my foxling sprints ahead of us, scampering like the animals are wont to do. =) Today is less winter than spring, and we are so glad for the confusion that seems to have taken hold of Mother Earth. The weather was quite warm, and as you can see, the fog was as gorgeous as an Ansel Adams, freshly painted. We spied such a tiny, perfectly-formed nest in a tree high above… I am thankful for a long range zoom ! It was at the tippiest-top of a branch, swaying precariously, and dribbling water droplets down on our heads. The Professor thinks it belongs to a bluebird, and a chickadee has my vote, as per the size of the nest. Can you make out the bits of fiber woven into it’s sides? I am glad our dryer lint and sweater fuzz is good for something other than wreaking havoc on my vacuum ! =)
As she danced to a favorite photo spot of hers, The Historian exclaimed once more, that today “is the best day EVER” !! We chuckle because we hear this sentiment most days of the week. I hope this photo of her makes you smile, and that your day is filled with happiness and joy. =)

oh – i do enjoy being engulfed by a heavy fog. last thur , our fog did NOT roll in. stepped out the door and all of a sudden – it simply fell! all at once filling our woody patch half way up the tree trunks. reminded me of a cape cod canal evening!
